Founder’s Letter: Bridging the Collaboration Gap

Last month, I was fortunate to spend two weeks in Denmark with my fiancé, who is originally from Honduras and now an American citizen. We both noticed that Copenhagen was amusingly clean. When I asked her why she thought that was the case she answered, to my surprise: “It is because people are generally well educated in Denmark.” (that is a subject for another letter).

A solid, broad education does not guarantee being well educated about Climate Change, Sustainability, and Green Transition. Denmark is well known for their education. DTU (Technical University of Copenhagen) was just named the best technical University in the EU. Denmark has also established themselves as the frontrunner for Climate Change, Sustainability, and Green Transition. I had the great honor of meeting several influential people leading this effort, including people from DTU. Most of the people I met in Denmark, despite having received excellent educations, were clueless when it came to sharing Data and Content to discuss Climate Change, Sustainability, and Green Transition.

At Albertsen Consulting we have started to ask the question “what is collaboration to you?”

We have yet to get an answer that makes sense. When you ask how they currently collaborate, their answer is: “Not really sure, but I am sure someone knows.” It became clear to me that there are a lot of players in this mix who know Climate Change, Sustainability, and Green Transition better than anyone in the world, however they know little about collaboration. Old technology is used, and no one connects the dots when we consider a common denominator on needs and possibilities.

Using ineffective protocols and outdated technologies costs companies, universities, other educational institutions, and industries hundreds of millions of dollars each year. All organizations need to share data and contents, internally as well as globally. This requires a lot of thought, research, and people to implement these strategies. Albertsen Consulting is the company to solve these crucial issues. Choosing the right collaboration software depends on the specific needs and goals of the team or organization, including the nature of their work, preferred communication style, and collaboration requirements.
