Levi Strauss & Co.'s overall goals and efforts to achieve the phase-out of NGG.

Who would have thought that the fashion industry is one of the biggest contributors to climate change.
Levi Strauss & Co., known for its iconic jeans, also makes clothing such as Dockers, Denizen and Beyond Yoga with the goal of reaching net zero in line with science-based goals.
LS & Co. President and CEO Michelle Gass says: "Every day we seem to see and read about extreme weather events, massive fires and smoky skies, sea level rise, climate-related mass migration, ecosystem collapse and more.
LS & Co. is clearly aware that companies like yours can grow and grow their license by adopting climate practices to reduce their emissions policies to a low-carbon energy economy.
LS & Co. was one of the first brands to validate science-based targets in 2018 and has achieved emission reductions in all areas. In 2022, they conducted a climate scenario analysis that identified climate risks and opportunities across their value chain. LS & Co.'s Chief Sustainability Officer says it's not enough to set goals, they need to be specific about how they want to get there as the sustainability sector evolves. They are working to develop a climate transition plan that maps out an aggressive and clear path to achieving their 2030 goal of net-zero emissions. In 7 years (2016-2023), Levis & Strauss Co. has reduced its emissions by 77% using 93% renewable electricity.
In line with the Paris Agreement, which limits global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius, the goal is that by 2025 a 90% reduction in greenhouse gases (greenhouse gases) will have been achieved. By 2030, LS & Co. aims to source at least 5% of its total cotton from recycled raw materials and source only recycled polyester.
